£10,000 for the Youth Centre
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the Community Fund towards the re-roofing of the Youth Centre for which we are very grateful.
The re-roofing is the first phase of the much needed refurbishment of the Youth Centre. In the early Spring we will be removing the old asbestos roof and replacing it with a purpose-built, well-insulated and durable roof. The second phase of the refurbishment is to revamp the loos and bathrooms. The timing of this will be dependent on fundraising. So, please watch this space for developments in the New Year.
Additional funding
In addition to the funding from the Community Fund we are also delighted to announce that we have received a further £3,400 from the Joicey Trust towards the general refurbishment of the Youth Centre. We are very grateful to the trustees of the Joicey Trust for this award.
