Suggested Donation £575

If the “earth laughs in flowers” then our three days together will allow you to hear her joy in a variety of wonderful settings. We promise you inspirational gardens, beautiful landscapes, stimulating company and space to breathe and relax in the warmth of a Minsteracres welcome.

Your soul reset includes visiting the gardens, time with nature in the Minsteracres grounds, the chance for reflection in the morning peace and the opportunity for engagement with the community life at Minsteracres.

We will visit the birthplace of Capability Brown at Kirkharle and his garden at Wallington, the acclaimed Alnwick Garden and Castle, the home of Earl Grey at Howick Hall, the new garden at Raby Castle, the acclaimed Thornton Manor Garden plus a visit to Durham and its beautiful cathedral.

Our days will start with an optional attendance at mass or early morning meditation in the grounds followed by breakfast and end with dinner and an after-dinner talk. At Howick Hall we will take afternoon tea in the Earl Grey tearoom and there will be lots of opportunities for refreshments and to immerse yourself in the beauty of Northumbria.

You will be accompanied on your Northumbrian adventure by Jan Loughran who is an enthusiastic gardener and florist and passionate Northumbrian and she will engage you with her native insights into this wonderful part of England.

The week together will start with dinner on Monday evening and end after breakfact on Friday morning and cost £675 including all transport and admissions – there is a discount if you are a member of either National Trust or Historic Homes.
