Here to Serve Retreat – The Vocation of Service. Service changes people, it can bring about a spirit of generosity, which not only purifies the giver, but can transform the life of the recipient. Come and explore the significance of service and hospitality. You are invited to join us for a peak behind the scenes on a typical day at Minsteracres. Punctuated by reflections, your day will include a tour and exploration into our organic gardens, full of herbs and ripe fruit and vegetables. You will then be supported to harvest your own ingredients, to be later transformed into a mouth-watering lunch. With the help of cookery demonstrations given by our experienced chefs, not only will you have delicious tasters to savour, but you will also gain insight and transferable skills, designed to enhance your culinary expertise in the comfort of your own kitchen. An opportunity to engage with our Housekeeping Team, will offer insights into the nature of their work and vocation. In the afternoon, a scrumptious tea trolley will be followed by an end of day reflection with an opportunity to share your own experiences. A perfect day for anyone reflecting upon the charisms of service and hospitality, or for those considering undertaking volunteering experiences.
