The Dark Night of the Soul.
A weekend with St. John of the Cross, exploring his famous poem The Dark Night.
The weekend will include talks introducing Saint John of the Cross, the poem and commentary. We will draw on the Carmelite, contemplative tradition as we enter into the mystery of what it means to be drawn by ‘loves urgent longings’ along the path of transformation into the fullness of life and freedom that God desires for each and every one of us!
There will be times of silence, solitude, community and recreation.
All are very welcome to join us on this great adventure!
Gillian’s life is inspired, guided, and challenged by many years of engagement with Carmelite Spirituality, especially the writings of Saint Teresa of Avila and Saint John of the Cross. She writes, speaks and leads retreats enriched by these deep spiritual encounters.
