Laudato Si–Hearing the Cry of the Earth and the Poor
In 2015, Pope Francis wrote his encyclical – ‘Laudato Si’ – a letter to the world calling on everyone to hear the cries of the earth and the poor and to take care for our common home. During this retreat, we will seek a better understanding of the content of the encyclical, to hear its message and find ways in which we can answer its call.
Using discussion, film, prayer and reflection in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Minsteracres we will connect with nature and develop a mindset to help us reduce our impact on the environment.
This retreat will be facilitated by Minnie Fraser, Diocesan Environmental Lead for Hexham and Newcastle, Fr Antony CP, Rector and Fr Emmanuel CP, Minsteracres Retreat Centre.
