An amazing Indian themed evening here, at Minsteracres last night which proved to be an absolute SELL OUT! The culinary expertise of our Head Chef Gary, working alongside Tina and Camille produced a splendour of tastes which were a delight for all of the lucky people who managed to secure a place. All proceeds from the evening go to the Indian Projects sponsored by Minsteracres.
The Indian projects that we are supporting are innovative and diverse and include:-
The first economic project that the Passionists started in Randham. We help people buy milking cows @45,000 per cow. Each beneficiary would sell the milk to the Passionist Milk Society and get the money on a weekly basis, proportionate to the amount of milk sold to the Society.
Educating the Poor Children/Children's Scholarship
This is another project that the Passionists have undertaken, long ago in partnership with the Local Diocese. Due to subsequent lack of funding the Passionists alone now oversee the care and development of the scholarship program.
There is a high percentage of school drop-outs mainly due to the costs of education and lack of affordability. So with limited donations and the generosity of partners, we continue to support this project.
